How you will Energise Our Team 🤝
We are seeking a BI Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team, within the Commercial function. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the team to ensure the development and processing of key reports, as well as provide valuable insight and support on commercial performance to the wider business. This will be through a combination of MS Fabric, PowerBI and Excel, for which ongoing training and support will be provided. The role requires a diligent and analytically minded individual, keen to learn and passionate about data, with a high attention to detail to carry out core, business-critical tasks covering a variety of areas. The reporting responsibilities will be a mixture of regular tasks and ad-hoc analysis, enabling a great deal of exposure to several of the company’s operational, pricing and reporting functions.
The day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Maintaining, enhancing and creating reports using a combination of MySQL, MS Fabric/PowerBI and Excel as appropriate, to meet external regulatory requirements, and to maintain and improve data integrity internally across the business
- Taking ownership of running regular reports, ensuring the outputs are accurate and representative, and external deadlines are met
- Carrying out insightful ad-hoc analysis with the use of Excel, Python, MySQL, Power Query and other tools as appropriate
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across a variety of business functions
- Challenging the ‘status quo’ to ensure that both data-gathering and reporting practices are both accurate and efficient
The Spark we're Looking For 🔍
- Applications from graduates are encouraged; prior experience in an analytical role is considered advantageous
- Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent experience (a degree in a STEM subject is desirable)
- Experience using Excel (including Power Query) and at least one programming language (SQL and Python preferred)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms highly desirable (MS Fabric or Databricks preferred) and experience with data visualisation tools also advantageous (PowerBI, Tableau or others)
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and errors to ensure accuracy and high-quality outputs
- Naturally inquisitive with a strong analytical mindset
- Ability to interrogate data and provide meaningful insights
- Collaborative team player, keen to share knowledge and support others
If you like the sound of this role, we encourage you to apply even if you aren’t confident that you meet all of the requirements – you may be just who we’re looking for. We are extremely proud to be an equal opportunity employer and actively encourage applications from all backgrounds.
