How you will Energise Our Team 🤝

Are you eager to kickstart an exciting career in HR and join a supportive team that's passionate about sharing their knowledge? This is a fantastic opportunity to gain diverse experience across HR including administration, payroll, learning and development, and recruitment. In addition, you will be given dedicated study time to support your progress towards obtaining a Level 3 CIPD qualification. This newly created role offers a fantastic environment to grow and develop your skills in HR, surrounded by a team dedicated to your success. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Be responsible for general HR administration, including employment contracts, issuing variation to terms, pension letters, probation letters etc
• Support on payroll preparation by onboarding new starters and processing leavers, ensuring data is ready for checking and approval in the monthly cycle
• Ensure that accurate HR records are maintained, and regular internal audit checks are conducted
• Process benefits and assist with benefit administration
• Actively participate in our social committee, helping to drive employee engagement initiatives
• Assist the Learning and Development team with coordinating internal training and uploading completion logs
• Support with employee relations cases under guidance and supervision
• Assist Talent Acquisition with scheduling interviews and note taking
• Provide support on various HR initiatives through ad-hoc projects

• A strong desire to work in an HR function
• Willingness to study CIPD Level 3 via an apprenticeship programme with dedicated time for your development
• Passionate about people and making Valda the best workplace it can be
• A team player, willing to help shape Valda Energy’s culture via involvement in the social committee
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly organised, with an eye for detail
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally, and with discretion
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
