How you will Energize Our Team.Ā š¤
Our Finance team is growing and we are looking for a detailed & collaborative Finance Business Partner to join the Commercial Finance team. You will report into the Head of Commercial Finance play and crucial role in providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic advice to support decision-making across the business. In this role, you will partner with various departments across the business to support Valdaās growth aspirations. The right candidate will enjoy supporting the business with new initiatives, love to build business cases, present investment choices and will be comfortable diving into the detail whilst simultaneously thinking about the big picture. Your key areas of focus will be:
- Taking ownership of annual budgets & forecasts whilst collaborating with department heads to develop realistic financial plans that align with company strategy
- Ā Preparing and delivering regular financial reports and analysis, including performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
- Preparing management information, insights & reporting to the senior leadership team, highlighting emerging issues & potential future challenges to drive commercial performance
- Assisting with the development of various strategic & commercial initiatives whilst building business case proposals
- Ā Developing working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and communicating complex financial information clearly and succinctly to non-financial stakeholders
- Ensuring financials are managed in line with business plans for both short and long term
- Providing financial insights into operational efficiency, cost management, and investment decisions
- Evaluating the financial impact of new business opportunities, partnerships, and sales initiatives
The Spark we're Looking For.Ā š
- Fully qualified with a relevant qualification e.g ACA/CIMA/ACCA/ICAS (Desired)
- Demonstrable experience in finance business partnering
- Strong financial modelling (advanced Excel/Google Sheets) experience
- Great analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, issues and recommend actions
- Good interpersonal & influencing skills, ability to engage across various internal functions to develop, get buy-in and deliver outcomes across teams
- Confident presenting data in a meaningful and effective way; understanding the needs of the end users and tailoring presentations to their requirements
- Experience building business cases, presenting and debating investment choices
- Ability to be hands-on and enjoy supporting colleagues, projects or tasks both big or small
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, able to support with developing new processes and streamlining existing processes to create efficienciesĀ Ā
